I have no underlying plan for my work, it starts with a colour, a shape, a thing that I stick on the canvas. None! Only hidden messages; the message is the image.
The first draft is just a beginning. Something has to be added, or removed. But what? Higher, lower, to the left, to the right. Something comes to mind that is either useful or not.

Because I like to glaze, and glazing requires drying time, each piece of work requires patience and time. The smallest work easily takes me a few months.

I take a photo of each intermediate phase with my mobile phone. I place notes on top of it with a drawing program on my mobile phone: colour, shape, composition. Paintings can change completely during the process.

I don't work with preconceived ideas. Something comes to mind that is either useful or not.

I prefer to work with fairly small formats.
